Donations are now being accepted to establish an endowed scholarship in memory of Ms. Ashley Lutz.
Through the collective efforts of the Association of Nursing Students (ANS), Gamma Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, friends, family, and fellow nurses, the Ashley Lutz Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates an extraordinary passion for nursing and a commitment to serving others.
Ashley was diagnosed with cancer during her final semester of nursing school. One of her happiest moments was being pinned at commencement, a symbol that she had achieved her dream of becoming a nurse. Ashley touched the lives of many, and lives on in the hearts and memories of those who knew her. Named in Ashley's memory, the inaugural scholarship will be awarded in May 2012.
