The UNC Charlotte School of Nursing master’s programs rank in the top 30 percent of programs nationally in the 2019-2020 U.S. News & World Report rankings. The nursing master's offerings landed at 74th in the rankings out of 258 total programs. The nurse anesthesia program, offered in conjunction with Carolinas Medical Center, is ranked 36th overall.
The rankings take into account two types of data: expert opinions and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students.

UNC Charlotte received strong marks in several areas and scored particularly high on its rating by fellow nursing programs in the U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The School of Nursing is also currently recognized as Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League of Nurses. The designation recognizes programs for creating environments that enhance student learning and professional development and is currently held by 64 schools nationwide.
