The rankings take into account two types of data: expert opinions and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students.
“The UNC Charlotte School of Nursing is committed to providing students with a high-quality education that prepares graduates for positions locally, nationally and internationally," said Dena Evans, the school's director. "We continue to focus on offering graduate programs that meet the needs of community partners while maintaining our focus on student success. Our history of excellence is exemplified by the success of our graduates, continued program growth and our ability to attract highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff."
UNC Charlotte received strong marks in several areas and scored particularly high on its rating by fellow nursing programs in the U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The School of Nursing is also currently recognized as Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League of Nurses. The designation recognizes programs for creating environments that enhance student learning and professional development and is currently held by 64 schools nationwide.
