Pamela T. Rudisill was named UNC Charlotte’s Distinguished Nursing Alumni by the
University’s School of Nursing Alumni Chapter.
The Distinguished Nursing Alumni Award is bestowed upon an alumnus or alumna who has made outstanding contributions to the School of Nursing or has been recognized for exceptional achievement at the national, state or local levels.
Rudisill, a graduate of the bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing programs respectively, currently serves as Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive at Health Management Associates, Inc., where she heads up nursing/patient safety initiatives in the system’s 71 hospitals. Among her many accomplishments at Health Management, she successfully implemented a Patient Safety Program to improve the care of the system’s 1,560,000 yearly patients. She also served as Vice President of Nursing and Patient Safety during the four years prior to her 2012 executive appointment.
